What is a typical day like?
Drop-off, quote of the day, warm-up, dynamic flexibility, workout, core or hip mobility exercises, static flexibility, information session, pick-up What sort of workouts will we do? The workouts will focus on easy running with striders and hill repeats for those beginning their base phase and base workouts, such as fartleks and tempo runs for those continuing their base phase. What places do we run at? Parks - Roscoe Conkling Park (the switchbacks), Proctor Park, Deerfield Wilderness Park, Sherrillbrook Park Schools - Perry junior High, SUNYIT Trails - Greenbelt Trails, Barge Canal Trail, Oriskany Trail What results have runners seen? SXCD runners have became All-League runners, league champions, and have earned many PRs in the subsequent cross country season. Do I have to be fast to join? "Fast" is a relative term. We believe all our athletes are fast, just in varying levels. We accept all degrees of "fastness" and guarantee you will go from being fast to being faster. Is the program restricted to cross country runners? No! We welcome athletes from all sports. We have had athletes from soccer, tennis, and skiing to name a few.
